Polly
Polly developed sacroiliac pain and has had a course of acupuncture for the secondary muscle tension through her body after having the sacroiliac joints medicated with steroids. She carries tension through her lumbar region, neck and poll which is a very common compensatory pattern. The added challenge is that Polly can be quite reactive to needles.
She has a small amount of sedation first to stop her worrying and then she allows us to treat her and responds well.
Polly’s owner says:
“Acupuncture has been an absolutely brilliant part of Polly’s journey from SI pain. The change in her has been noticeable – after each treatment she’s more settled in her work, and clearly more comfortable in her body. With every session Polly offers more stretch, moves with greater ease, and shows a level of relaxation which simply wasn’t there before
as she was so guarded. Its been wonderful to see her confidence and comfort steadily improve, and the acupuncture has played a huge role in supporting her recovery. Polly can be needle shy at times but thanks to Jo’s patience Polly now enjoys her acupuncture sessions when she finds the zen! Thank you so much to Jo and the team! “
