Pete 9yrs old connie x gelding, post injury rehabilitation for strengthening, left fore septic fetlock with extensor tendon involvement and 45cm wound across the front of the joint.

Pete had completed 3 weeks complete box rest followed by one week with gradual in-hand walking from 5 minutes built up to 20 minutes by the end of the 2nd week, with week 2 having 2 hours of turnout daily in a restricted paddock. He started on the treadmill with level 2 water for 15 mins for day 1 and 2 increasing to 2.5 water and up to 20 minutes duration by the end of week 1 session 5. He had one rest day before continuing on 18 mins treadmill 2.5 water and 2% incline built up to 4% by day 3 in a morning followed by in-hand raised and ground walk poles for 5 minutes on day one built up to 10 minutes by day 3 in the equi core bands in the afternoon. The core bands were useful to help him lift through his core and aid in the strengthening of his topline which he had lost a lot of tone through due to box rest period
