Buzz – Neck and Sacroiliac
In this beautiful mare we have been using acupuncture for a few years now as part of her routine support for neck and sacroiliac problems. The primary issues were treated directly at the time of diagnosis, and she is now managed with acupuncture alongside physiotherapy.
We see that these horses present for repeat joint injections notably less frequently than horses with the same underlying issues not receiving ongoing supportive therapies. She is a good girl to treat, not requiring any sedative, although she looks as though she is sedated when the endorphins take over during a session!
Buz’s owner says:
“Buz has been having acupuncture for the last 5 years and she just loves it! The release of Happy Hormones for relaxation is just amazing. We have used it for pain relief, to reduce stress and anxiety, reduce muscle tension and stiffness and enhance healing following a DDFT injury. All of this contributes to her overall wellbeing. “
